It isn’t “politically correct” to say this, but you’re being judged by how you look.  You already know this, even if nobody says it directly.  You know that you get treated differently depending on how you look.  Respect, admiration, and affection are all directly tied to the physical shape you are in.

If you are really serious about finally getting those six pack abs, then here are three tips for you to reduce belly fat.

1. Abs Are Made in the Kitchen

The first thing that you should know in order to reduce belly fat is that your abdominals are made in the kitchen. Everyone has abs, but most people just have too much fat covering them up. Once you get to a low enough body fat percentage, you will begin to reveal them.

2. Train Your Abs for More Development

Even though abdominals are made in the kitchen, you should still train your abs 1-2 times per week. You only have to do around six working sets; you don’t have to go all with 100 sets or anything crazy like that. Use a 10-25 pound plate for weighted crunches along with other exercises such as hanging leg raises; you can start to use weight for this exercise as well once you get stronger.

3. Rest

Finally, you need to be giving your body enough rest to recuperate. You should make sure not to over train since you will be in a calorie deficit; also, you should aim for around 8 hours of sleep per night. Sleeping helps your body recovery and is extremely anabolic. Do not underestimate how much sleep or recovery time that your body may need.

There are a lot of myths going on around abdominals; you will hear people say that you need to be doing 1,000 crunches per day, starve yourself, and do an endless amount of cardio. These facts are all false, and if you stick to the information above, then you should be on the fast track to reduce belly fat. You still have time to achieve those six pack abs; the secret is to stay patient and give it time. Every day that passes, you will be able to lay a brick to your foundation; over time, you will have a great structure that you can be proud of.
